Bluesky can't currently send you notifications for new posts from people you follow. This app gives you settings to configure push notifications when those people post on Bluesky.

Works as designed as far as I can tell! This are a bit "clunky" for lack of a better word as far as over all looks interface go, but really that's not a huge deal. It absolutely fills the void left by Twitters bell icon for accounts you want to see post notifications for. I do wish that it somehow allowed post notifications to appear in the BlueSky app itself, but I don't know if that's even possible. Either way, great little app that does what it needs to do!

For the past few days the Bluenotify app just does not seem to be working? I was getting notifications, but when tapping on them it would open the Bluenotify app itself (it used to open Bluesky) where it would not show me anything new on my overview. I forced a re-sync after clearing my older feed and nothing appeared to have happened, and now after totally reinstalling I don't have any notifications at all, or anything in my overview. Is it possible something broke or changed in the API?

Love that this exists since notifications like this ate not currently available on BlueSky yet. However, beware if you upgrade your phone. This worked beautifully on my Samsung s10+ but it's not working so well on my s25 Ultra. I am getting the notifications but they are showing up in the history feed in Notify nor is it taking me to the post on BlueSky. Dunno if this is a bug specific to the s25 or if anyone else is experiencing this.
