About this app
Add Android Auto to the Android head unit already in your car. DashLink is an app, not a new stereo: install it on your head unit or car tablet, connect your phone by USB or wirelessly, and get maps, music, calls and messages on the big screen.
When you aren't navigating, the same screen becomes a full car dashboard: speedometers, a trip computer, fuel costs and service reminders. For track days, rallies and 0–100 runs, DashLink Racing adds a lap timer, pace notes and performance tests.
Try every feature free. When the trial ends, DashLink stays free, and Drive or Pro keep the features you want.
★ INSTALL ON THE HEAD UNIT, NOT YOUR PHONE
Open the Play Store on your car's Android screen and install DashLink there. Your phone only needs Android Auto, which is built into Android.

• USB Android Auto: plug in a data cable and it connects. It recovers cleanly when you unplug and plug back in.
• Wireless Android Auto with no dongle: pair once over Bluetooth, then your phone connects over the head unit's own Wi-Fi every drive.
• Self mode: run Android Auto from the head unit itself, no phone needed.
• Smooth on a 1 GB head unit: DashLink picks the codec, resolution and renderer for your unit. Performance mode keeps slow units smooth.
• Maps, music, hands-free calls and messages read aloud. Auto-start when you start the car.

• 7 layouts with live previews: Classic, Cockpit, Cluster, Twin dials, Focus, Journey and Night.

• A speed warning at the speed you choose, shown as a red zone on every dial.
• Compass, Bluetooth music and your favourite apps one tap away.
