Mudras is a field journal for the hands — an illustrated guide to practicing hand mudras, the finger positions used in yoga and meditation to focus the mind and direct the body's energy.
Every mudra in the app is treated like a specimen in a naturalist's notebook: a hand-sketched illustration, the technique for forming it, its traditional benefits, and how long and how often to practice it.
WHAT'S INSIDE
• Dozens of hand mudras, from well-known gestures like Gyan and Anjali to lesser-known ones like Ksepana and Kalesvara
• Technique, benefits, and practice notes for every mudra
• Categories grouped by what they're traditionally used for — stress, sleep, digestion, heart and circulation, and more
• A practice timer with a gentle completion chime, so you can hold a mudra for exactly as long as you intend to
• A Mudra of the Day, to give your practice a starting point
• A Journal that tracks your practice streak and collects a stamp for every mudra you complete
• Weekly Collections — themed sets of mudras for calm, sleep, the heart, energy, and stress
• An entirely optional daily reminder, only if you turn it on — no notifications otherwise
• Favorites, so the gestures you return to are always one tap away
• A short introduction to the tradition behind mudras — what they are, how they're practiced, and the five elements (earth, water, fire, air, and space) the fingers are traditionally said to correspond to
HAND-SKETCHED, HONESTLY
The illustrations in this app are actual pencil sketches, not stock icons or generated art. Not every mudra has its sketch finished yet — where one is missing, the app says so plainly and offers to look up a reference image instead of pretending otherwise.
NO ACCOUNT. NO ADS. NO TRACKING.
Mudras works entirely offline. There's no sign-in, no ads, no analytics, and nothing about your use of the app ever leaves your device. Your favorites are stored locally and stay that way.
