Norwegian citizenship requires passing the citizenship test, statsborgerprøven. It has 36 questions with three choices, lasts at most 60 minutes, and you pass with 24 correct. The social studies test, samfunnskunnskapsprøven, has 38 questions, lasts at most 60 minutes, and you pass with at least 26 correct. Both tests are built on the same syllabus: the national curriculum in social studies for adult immigrants.

WHAT IS IN THE APP

ABOUT THE RESULTS

You see the share you answer correctly overall and per module, and how it develops. The app's own readiness marker is clearly labelled as the app's own — it is not a test result and says nothing about how HK-dir assesses.

WHAT THE APP DOES NOT DO

The social studies test also contains image questions, where you tick the right spot on a picture. The app does not reproduce those. It practises the multiple-choice questions, which are the whole of the citizenship test and most of the social studies test.
