About this app

BAC Calculator does a metric calculation of your approximate percent blood-alcohol concentration by using your input body weight, the number of drinks you have consumed, a gender-specific metabolism constant, and an elapsed time period. Get an approximate estimation of your level of inebriation BEFORE making that sketchy decision to drive home!

The default unit for body mass is in pounds for the default country(United States); to input weight in kilograms, simply select any other country that defaults to metric units, or switch the toggle metric button to "ON". Your calculated %BAC result will turn red when it has exceeded the legal limit for the selected country and will change to reflect accordingly as soon as another country is selected.

Notice: This application is not for official blood-alcohol content readings and should not be used as a reliable determination of sobriety. You should NEVER operate a vehicle while under the influence of any controlled substances. Legal BAC limits may vary by country for professional drivers, inexperienced/underage drivers, or operators of heavy machinery; Intended for the use of mature audiences; for informational/novelty purposes only.

I don't use it very often, but it is incredibly useful when I do

Simple and easy to use; good for making approximate calculations for anyone's blood alcohol concentration. For most accurate results, it's best to use this app when you drink multiple beverages with more-or-less standard concentrations of alcohol in them. The 'Exit' button keeps the app from running as an ongoing process in my phone, which should never be an issue with such a lightweight utility app. Love the feature which includes all the different countries' legal BAC limits, as well as the LB/KG toggle!

Inaccurate too. I guarantee you after I, a 108lb girl, have 1 drink, my BAC is not .02 as calculated (actually it's much higher). Sure, not a perfectly scientific tool...but DAY-um that is off the mark.

Did you check to see that the app was not on metric units? A 108lb female is calculated to have a BAC level of .052% after one drink, with no elapsed time. if you input 108 for a female while measuring in KGs, the BAC calculation comes out to .024% after one drink. perhaps this feature could use some clarification?

What's new

- Improved toggle for inputting metric weight measurements (in KGs)
- Over 200 countries added to view appropriate regional legal limits
- %BAC result turns red when the selected country's legal limit is exceeded
- Minor Layout Changes
- General Bug Fixes
