About this game

Bagh-Chal ("tiger moves") is the traditional strategy board game of Nepal, played for centuries in the villages of the Himalaya. Four tigers hunt, twenty goats defend. The tigers are strong but few, the goats are weak but many – and the two sides need completely different strategies. Easy to learn, surprisingly deep, and fun for the whole family.

Choose the tigers and jump over goats to capture them, or lead the goats and work together to trap every tiger. Winning with both sides is a real challenge!

HOW TO PLAY
• The 4 tigers start on the corners; the 20 goats enter the board one by one. Goats move first.
• Goats cannot move until all 20 are placed. After that they step to a neighbouring empty point.
• A tiger moves one step along a line, or jumps over an adjacent goat to the empty point behind it to capture it.
• The tigers win by capturing 5 goats. The goats win by trapping all tigers so they cannot move.
