BalloonRadar is an advanced flight‑support platform designed for hot‑air balloon pilots, chase crews, and observers. It connects seamlessly with the DBI3U device to deliver real‑time telemetry, precise GPS tracking, and intelligent tools that enhance safety, coordination, and decision‑making during every stage of the flight.

BalloonRadar offers four high‑quality map types — including a detailed topographic map — giving pilots and crews a clear view of terrain, airspace, and flight conditions. The app supports three dedicated user profiles (Pilot, Driver, Observer), each optimized for the specific needs of its role.

The free Quick Release plan provides a rich set of features for everyday flying, while advanced tools unlock even more capabilities for long‑distance and professional operations. BalloonRadar also uses AI to assist with planning, documentation, and post‑flight analysis.

Pilots can create custom PZ (Prohibited Zone) areas, view official CTR and TMA airspace layers, and enable animated wind overlays during flight for better situational awareness. The app also displays other balloons currently in the air, helping teams maintain safe separation and coordination.

BalloonRadar includes powerful communication and sharing tools. Users can share flight progress, maps, and visuals across social media, and the app can automatically send email notifications to selected contacts when a flight begins or ends.
