About this app

OurSpace is a free app for running a home between two or more people. Calendar, money, shopping, tasks, meals, bin days and birthdays, all shared the moment you add them.

No more "did you book that?", "what's left on the list?" or "when's that bill due?".

Link up with the people you live with

Connect using a simple code. Once you're linked, everything you add is shared between you straight away. Unlink whenever you like. You stay in control of your data.

One shared calendar

Both schedules in one place, so you stop double-booking weekends. Connect Google Calendar (read-only) to bring your existing events in and save entering anything twice. Add a location to an event and see it on a map.

Birthdays that sort themselves out

Connect Google Calendar and OurSpace picks up birthdays for you, so you're not typing them in one at a time. Upcoming ones sit on your home screen, so you're not caught out. When one is coming up, OurSpace can suggest a gift idea, with links to sort the present and the card in a couple of taps.

Shopping lists that sync instantly

Add an item and it appears on the other phone straight away. Whoever ends up at the shop has the full list. No texts, no second bottle of milk. Set your usual supermarket to keep the list in a sensible order.

Shared tasks

Create jobs, split them, tick them off. Add a location to a task and get a reminder when you're nearby.

Meal planning

Plan the week's meals together, and let OurSpace suggest something when nobody can face deciding. Turn the plan into a shopping list without typing it out again.

Money, seen by both of you

Track accounts, direct debits, assets and debts in one clear picture of the household finances. Keep an eye on contracts and subscriptions so a renewal doesn't quietly roll over onto a worse price, and build budgets you can both actually see.

Bin days

Tell OurSpace which bin goes out when and get a reminder the night before. A small thing that we still got wrong most weeks before this.

The noticeboard

Somewhere to leave a note for whoever gets in first. Deliberately small, so it doesn't turn into another feed to keep on top of.

Catch Up

Open the app and get a short summary of what's changed since you last looked. New shopping items, tasks ticked off, plans that have moved. Back in sync in seconds without scrolling.

Kids (optional)

Switch it on if you need it. Keep track of names, ages and the school runs, clubs and pickups, so you both know who's doing what.

Notifications you control

Get told when something happens that involves you, like a new item on a shared list. Every type has its own switch in Settings, so you can turn off the ones you don't want.

Built for privacy

OurSpace is free. There are no adverts, and your data isn't sold or used for advertising. What you add is shared only with the people you've linked with, and only to run the features above. You can disconnect Google Calendar, turn off notifications, unlink, or delete your account and everything in it at any time.
