When a child flies a paper airplane, the nights of Seoul and Tokyo slowly unfold.
Midnight Flight is an app you turn on before falling asleep. Press and hold Como on the screen, and the paper airplane takes flight, quietly soaring over the Han River, alleys, rooftops, and the riversides of Tokyo. That is all you have to do. Now, simply close your eyes.
• When you open the app, a sheet of stationery appears first. Write what you want to say and fold it to turn it into a paper airplane. On nights when you don't feel like writing, you can simply fly it.
• While flying, letters sent by others occasionally appear faintly in the night sky. Tap them, and a small light flies away to fall as a shooting star into that person's sky.
• The sounds of the night breeze and distant cities fill the air beneath gentle music that varies by location. If you set a sleep timer (30 minutes to 2 hours; default is not to turn off), the sounds gradually fade out when it ends, and the screen turns off according to your device settings. You can also reduce or turn off the music and city sounds separately. • Even if you lock the screen, the sound continues for a set amount of time.
• The sky is slightly different every night. There are rainy nights, snowy nights, and nights with falling cherry blossoms, and occasionally, shooting stars, flocks of birds, or fireworks pass by.
• You can fly to both Seoul and Tokyo right from the start. If you fly for more than 5 minutes in a single night, you earn one point of mileage; once you collect seven points, you can choose and unlock a city of your choice.
• Places you have visited are collected as postcards. If you flip the postcard over, the date you first flew and what you encountered there are stamped on it.
• There is no sign-up or advertisements. Sent letters are stored anonymously.
Good night, Paper Airplane.
