Chimera TCG is a strategic collectible card game where you splice real animals into creatures that have never existed, collect them, and build a deck for battle.

COLLECT THE ANIMAL KINGDOM

Start with 54 real animal Base cards, each with nature-documentary field notes, an environment, a size, and a trait. Great White Shark. Golden Eagle. Honey Badger. The building blocks of a much stranger collection.

SPLICE SOMETHING NEW

Combine two Base cards in the Splicer to create a Chimera. Every pairing is valid. Compatible animals are easier to Splice, while unlikely combinations can produce rarer results at greater risk.

Add a third Base card to attempt a Mythic Chimera. Use Stabilizers to improve your odds, or stack three Stabilizers for a guaranteed success.

DISCOVER WHAT NO ONE HAS

When someone successfully Splices a brand-new combination, its name, artwork, and field notes are created on the spot. Discover it first and you are credited in the shared catalog as its Origin Splicer.

BATTLE ACROSS THREE LANES

Build a 12-card deck and battle across Land, Water, and Air in a six-turn match. Spend energy to play cards face-down, then watch both sides reveal simultaneously. Win two of the three lanes to take the match.

Build around card abilities, trait interactions, and home-lane advantages. Fight adaptive rivals, climb from Novice toward Master, compete on the weekly wins leaderboard, or challenge friends in live head-to-head battles.

GROW YOUR COLLECTION

Earn XP by battling, Splicing, and opening packs. Spend Coins to level up your favorite cards, and Recycle spare duplicates into more Coins.

Send Field Expeditions that return with free cards. Complete daily quests, progress through a new Battle Pass each month, and earn rewards as your collection grows.

CHASE VARIANTS AND COMPLETE LINEAGES

Collect special Variants with alternate artwork and Battle bonuses, including limited-time seasonal styles such as Steampunk. Complete animal Lineages to earn Silver and Gold Leaf Variants, fill your Trophy Case, and unlock collection rewards.

FREE TO PLAY

Build your collection, Splice Chimeras, and battle without spending money. Optional in-app purchases are available. An internet connection is required.

In-app purchases and randomized items: Some optional card packs contain randomized cards. Exact odds and selection rules are shown in the app before purchase and at chimeratcg.app/odds.html. Catalog-based odds may change as players discover new Chimeras. Gems cannot be exchanged for real money.

Ratings and reviews

Like many games that use generative AI, it seems they got interested in the concept and then started work without fully baking the idea. as such there are only a handful of abilities, and they largely boil down to +/- 2/3, not affecting swarms which makes them kind of OP. what they should have done in my opinion is make sure each base creature had a unique ability, then Chimeras could have abilities that mixed the base creature's abilities so they would all feel unique.

Great game, easy to navigate and awesome combinations. My biggest gripes are two. First: Not enough one cost mutants. I'm not sure if that's by design to make players use more base one cost cards but definitely needs a fix. Second: Needs more keywords/effects. Some seem repetitive but I understand use of less. Makes sure the game doesn't break with too many op cards. hope to see how the team maneuvers the future.

The game has fast response times to bugs in the report section which is nice, but the leaderboard is based on how many wins and doesn't always track that properly if you go too fast so you're forced to play the same couple of different matches over and over, there are a few different team variants that could be meta like swarm, buff/debuff every lane, and removing or preventing gain of bonus points, has a decent selection once you get further in but is lacking content like events or something.🤷
