No Dish? Issues with adverts Have no idea why Dish isn't a provider option. The adverts are better quality and louder than the show, which is annoying. More annoying is that the screen comes back black after the adverts are over so I'm stuck fiddling with the time bar to go back a few secs to fix it. A 10 sec time hop option would not be remiss...
The casting will happen when they control all the content. When your under licensed agreements it limits how you can move. As the agreements run out they are able to negotiate better terms meaning where when and how they can place BBC content. Technology is getting better for companies like this. I salute them. Hopefully everyone has skyview.systems one day..
I cut the cord, and don't expect all shows to be free. I'm okay with some ads. However, with this app, ONLY ads can be seen. The video clips (never a full show) are always black screens with audio. All of them. The ads play just fine. It's only the parts that I want to watch that I can't see, but can only hear. Not cool, BBC.
Actual Programming = -30db .. Bloody Adverts = +96db It's nearly 2017, with software based digital audio processors - audio can be normalized, compressed, gated, and limited.. WHY do they ruin a perfectly decent app by steaming Adverts at 3x higher audio volume than the content itself? It ruins the experience since I constantly found myself reaching for the volume at the start and end of each set of Adverts. It's rather annoying, therefore 1 star.
I was able to watch when first downloaded and signed in with direct TV... Hasn't worked since. Keeps saying that I'm unable to watch Planet Earth 2 right now. Sucks.
Garbage. Commercials every 5 minutes maybe at probably a 50% increase in volume, and they have loading problems. Can't save shows to a list. Absolutely no settings to be adjusted. Mediocre resolution when it works, but pixelates and goes wonky every few minutes. Video loads about 10 seconds later than audio when it comes back from commercials. A company as big as BBC has no excuse for such a POS app. And shame on them for cashing in on ads.
This app works with BBC websites and apps to play BBC content on your device.
