Are you looking to get 8 hours of sleep every night or get your daily workout in? Have you been meaning to finish that audiobook but can’t find the time? BetterYou, the Healthy Habits Companion can help.

How it works:

BetterYou is a healthy habits companion that lets you set goals in four wellness categories: physical, social, educational and mindfulness.

The app then works in the background to map how you spend your time. It learns when you’re hitting your goals and when you’re likely to fall off track. BetterYou can update your progress and link it to your goals. When you’re falling behind, you’ll get a gentle nudge reminding you to get back on track.

Features:

Activity tracking - using Google Fit, BetterYou picks up your steps automatically and can share information with you about your step goal.

Sleep tracking - BetterYou tracks disruptions in your sleep through your phone. Whether you’re on an app past your bedtime or you get up and get distracted, BetterYou will be there to help you get a better night’s sleep.

Stay in touch - BetterYou can sync with your contacts and allow you to prioritize your “top people” you want to stay connected to. You can set a goal to call a specific friend or family member more.

Visualize your progress- see your percentage completion for each goal and see specific tips for improvement visually over time.

Places goals - set a goal to get out of the house more by adding social, education and mindfulness places (restaurant, classroom, yoga studio).

Personalized recommendations - BetterYou learns your habits and is able to give you a personalized nudge when you’re off track, keeping you working toward your goals. BetterBot is your Healthy Habits Companion giving you your personalized notifications to help you reach your goals.

Challenges- Did you know having an accountability partner can increase your goal success rate up to 90%? Challenge a friend in areas like steps or sleep, and both get rewarded for meeting your goals.

I love that the app has a friendly & motivating vibe to it and that it's not too crowded with lots of messy features. It syncs to fitbit easily and has a location feature to give you credit for visiting relaxing and educational sites. I wish it were a little easier to figure out (or maybe it's too simple). I would like a feature to add personal experiences to do yoga,exercise, mindfulness activities, reading (book format) so we could get credit for positive steps towards improvement out of apps.

I like that it keeps track of of Education, Mindfulness, Social and Physical but I wish you could add time in that it has no way of knowing. For example, reading a physical book. I read all the time, just no on my phone. I like the app a lot. It's the only complaint. It is perfect with reminders without being full of spam or constant pinging. It is pretty to look at and easy to tell where you are and what you need to work on (save for reading) and intuitive to work. I would highly recommend. Thank you!

I really enjoy this app. At first I had some issues figuring it out and getting it to work but I emailed them and got an immediate response and problem solved. This app helps me relax while reminding to get off my backside and do something whether it is being socially interactive or exercising. This app has helped me clear my mind, get in better shape, and concentrate on good things.
