DrinkMeter estimates how much alcohol is in your blood — for any drink, not just beer.
Tell it your weight and sex once. After that, logging a round is a single tap: beer, wine, whiskey, cocktail, sparkling, or anything you type in yourself. Each drink is timestamped the moment you tap it, so there is no Calculate button, no clock to set and no form to fill in.
A live gauge at the top of the screen shows where you stand right now against the driving limit in your country, and it recalculates on its own as the evening goes on.
WHAT IT DOES
• One tap per drink. Six tiles — beer, wine, whiskey, cocktail, sparkling and a custom drink — each with its own size and strength that you can change and save.
• Every drink keeps its own strength. A beer at 20:00, a glass of wine at 21:00 and a whiskey at 22:00 are the normal case, not an edge case.
• A live circular gauge with a mark at your country's driving limit, and plain sentences under it: when you drop back under the limit, and when the last of the alcohol is gone — each with a clock time and a countdown.
• Driving limits for over 50 countries, searchable, including the stricter figures many countries apply to new, young and professional drivers.
• Permille or percent, litres or ounces, kilograms or pounds — picked from your region and changeable at any time.
• Adjustable elimination rate for anyone who knows their own.
• Light and dark themes. English, German, French, Italian and Spanish.
WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
DrinkMeter keeps no history. There are no saved nights, no charts and no export. The current evening lives on your phone and is discarded once it is over. Nothing you enter ever leaves your device.
HOW THE ESTIMATE WORKS
Every drink is converted to grams of pure alcohol from its volume and strength, divided by your body water, and reduced by a steady elimination rate from the moment of each drink onward. This is the Widmark formula, the arithmetic behind most published blood alcohol tables. The app tells you exactly what it ignores: absorption time, food, age, height, medication, illness and your own individual metabolism.
IMPORTANT
DrinkMeter is for entertainment and rough estimation only. It is not medical advice, not legal advice and not a breathalyser. The number it shows can be far from your real blood alcohol in either direction. Never decide whether to drive, operate machinery, work or take medication based on this app. If you have been drinking, do not drive.
Driving limits shown in the app are reference information only. Laws change and vary by jurisdiction and driver category. Always verify the current law where you are.
