PolyCore runs PlayStation 1 disc images that you already own, on your phone.
It is deliberately plain: point it at the folder your .cue files live in, import a BIOS you dumped from your own console, and play. No accounts, no sign-in, nothing to configure before it works.
WHAT YOU NEED
PolyCore ships no games and no BIOS file, and it cannot search for or download either. You supply both:
- A PlayStation BIOS image (512 KB), dumped from a console you own.
- Your own disc images, as .cue plus .bin.
FEATURES
- Streams discs straight off storage, so a 700 MB disc uses about 30 MB of memory and big games do not run your phone out of RAM.
- Save states with thumbnails, plus an automatic one when you close a game.
- Memory cards, shared across your games exactly as a real console's card is.
- On-screen controls you can drag anywhere, at any size, in portrait or landscape.
- Physical controller support, with remappable buttons.
- Multi-disc games are grouped as one title.
- Fast-forward and slow motion.
- No ads over a running game, ever.
HONEST LIMITATIONS
- Emulation accuracy varies by title. Some games will not run correctly yet.
- .chd, .pbp and .iso images are not supported yet - .cue plus .bin only.
- Analog sticks are not on the on-screen pad yet; a digital pad is used.
