SuperCore is a fast, free emulator for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES).
It plays game files you provide from a folder on your device.
ACCURATE EMULATION
SuperCore is built on LakeSnes, a cycle-focused open-source SNES core. Sound is generated at 48,000 Hz and paced by your device's audio output, so picture and sound stay locked together without the drift you get from a timer.
SAVE ANYWHERE
Ten save-state slots per game, each with a thumbnail of the moment you saved. SuperCore also writes an automatic save state whenever you close a game, so you can always pick up exactly where you stopped. Battery saves work exactly as the cartridge intended.
REWIND YOUR MISTAKES
Hold the rewind button to run the last few seconds backwards, let go, and try again.
CONTROLS THAT FIT YOUR HANDS
Drag every on-screen button to wherever your thumbs actually sit, and set the size and opacity to taste. Separate layouts are remembered for portrait and landscape. Multi-touch throughout, so holding a direction while pressing a face button works the way it should. Diagonals on the directional pad are resolved by angle, not by rectangles, so they are actually reachable.
USE A REAL CONTROLLER
Bluetooth and USB gamepads are supported, including analogue sticks and hat switches. Any button can be remapped by pressing it.
EVERYTHING ELSE
- Fast forward up to 8x, and slow motion down to a quarter speed
- Reads .smc, .sfc, .fig, .swc files, and .zip archives
- Integer scaling for sharp, evenly-scaled pixels
- Material You interface with a full dark theme
- Your recent games appear as shortcuts when you long-press the app icon
A NOTE ON COMPATIBILITY
A small number of cartridges use an on-board coprocessor chip (Super FX, SA-1, DSP-1 and similar, e.g. Star Fox, Yoshi's Island, Super Mario Kart) - these are not supported and are rejected with a clear message rather than hanging or crashing. Everything else works, including Chrono Trigger, Super Metroid, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Final Fantasy VI, EarthBound, Donkey Kong Country, Super Mario World and Contra III.

SuperCore is free and supported by advertising. Ads appear on the game list and settings screens, and occasionally when you close a game. There are never any ads while a game is running.

SuperCore ships with no games and has no way to search for or download any. Please only use files you are legally entitled to use.
