The Virtual Reading Club (CVL) and the Cine Club are a service of the Instituto Cervantes Electronic Library aimed at online social reading and the dissemination of cinema in Spanish, to debate at a distance around outstanding works of Spanish literature and Hispanic American and also to discuss Spanish-speaking cinema. Book clubs bring together people to read, watch and exchange opinions with other readers and moviegoers, thus combining the pleasure of reading and cinema and the pleasure of conversation around a book.
Since the entire activity incorporates or is developed with computer platforms, we are talking about online social reading and online cinema. A great experience with the intervention of important creators of culture in Spanish: writers, playwrights, poets. In addition, it promotes the knowledge and learning of the Spanish language in the digital environment, through social reading and supports the revitalization of reading in Spanish from ELE (Spanish as a foreign language). Learning Spanish through social reading.
The debates follow a schedule and each title is moderated by the authors or by experts. The clubs and their readings are interconnected with the collection of electronic books. The readings are always available to be downloaded from the e-book platform or read from the virtual club application.
There is only one requirement to participate: have a valid membership card. If you are not yet a member of any of the Instituto Cervantes libraries, or of the Electronic Library, consult the conditions of use and enjoy reading!
