Bird Data - Colombia is a field guide for the birds of Colombia. It has taxonomic, range, subspecies, and other information for almost 1900 species of birds found in Colombia, the country with the most species of birds in the world. Included are Colombia-centered range maps for all species. Directly downloadable into the application are 1900 photos of over 1750 different species, and over 2500 bird songs and bird calls.
Photos and sounds are included for most species. Media (images and sounds) can be downloaded individually. Photos and maps can be downloaded in bulk. Bird species can be navigated through taxonomy or native language (English or Spanish). A sound file package of over 3000 sounds recorded by Peter Boesman is now available, and all songs can be downloaded at one time.
Also included is a map feature that ties into the eBird Hot Spot and sighting database. See where your target species have been seen recently, or explore sightings at nearby locations.
The latest release has a sound recorder for recording bird calls and field notes.
The application is free, but a donation is appreciated.
