I loved this app and used it daily, but since switching from iphone to android it keeps bugging out. I won't be able to play any of the audiobooks I've purchased through the app even after uninstalling and reinstalling sometimes for days at a time. I really hope there are some improvements made to the android version because I miss being able to consistently listen to audiobooks at night.

(5 stars given in 2023.) Now it's 2025, and I've entered the world of Bluetooth. Of 5 different kinds of audio apps on my phone, it's the only one that consistently locks up, restarted, & loses its place, especially if connected to a car. I have reloaded it 3 times. Maybe they can fix the gliches and go back to 5 stars. I still like Downpour's selection & prices. Now it's 2026, in spite of multiple reinstalls it's more likely to malfunction than ever. How sad.

I need to preface this by saying the service itself is fantastic, and it's the only place I'll likely buy audiobooks from moving forward. Their support has also been quite helpful. The service is 5/5 stars. Unfortunately, the listening experience has not been great. The Android app is buggy and routinely has issues (when I'm going 75mph on a Texas highway...). The online reader isn't much better. They also don't have chapter names or a way to override them with their own. 2/5 stars for that.
