Drift is an Android app that helps you step away from short-video feeds with gentle reminders and staged friction.
It is not built to punish you or lock down your whole phone. Instead, you set a clear boundary first. When you keep
browsing short-video feeds, Drift follows your settings and nudges you to pause at the right time.
What Drift does:
• identifies supported short-video pages
• shows reminders and friction overlays based on your rules
• helps perform a back action when you choose to leave
• optionally attempts a single pause gesture if you enable auto-pause
How guard setup works:
• Basic guard: enable Accessibility
• Enhanced safeguards: notifications, background limits, and OEM settings
Basic guard is the only required step. Enhanced safeguards are optional and only help improve stability on some
devices.
Why Accessibility is used:
• to identify supported short-video pages
• to show reminders or friction overlays in those contexts
• to support the leave action when you tap Leave
Drift is designed as a gentle interruption tool, not a hard-blocking or whole-phone control app.
Compatibility and stability may vary by app and device.
