HaHu: Speak! teaches you how to read and pronounce every character in the Amharic alphabet.

Learn
Don’t know any of the characters? Then start here. Listen to the sound of each character and try saying it yourself. The app will give you instant feedback on your pronunciation. You can listen to your pronunciations as you go. Keep trying until you have it down pat!

Test
Put your skills to the test. Say the character before time expires! Increase difficulty by lowering the time limit and shuffling the characters. How fast can you go?

Track Progress
You can see all of your past sessions on the history page. Score, mode, time limit, and more are all saved. You can retry previous sessions. With “Retry Missed,” you can focus on the characters you missed.

Language
The app is available in both English and Amharic.

No internet connection necessary.

About the alphabet
The Amharic alphabet is also called Fidel: an abugida shared by Amharic, Tigrinya, and Ge'ez, used across Ethiopia, Eritrea, and Habesha communities worldwide. The AI in the app is capable of scoring your voice and speech for each character from this alphabet.
