About this game

Reverse: 1999 is a 20th Century Time-Travel Strategic RPG developed by Bluepoch.

On the last day of 1999, the "Storm" fell upon the world. You witnessed an era reversed beneath the rising raindrops. Defying all reasons, what unfolds in front of you is the world of an era long past.

As the Timekeeper, observer of eras, you are free to travel through these eras after each "Storm." With the aid of Sonetto, a powerful Arcanist and ally from the Foundation, your mission is to travel through eras to where the "Storm" is most active, find other Arcanists who can sense the coming "Storm," and save them from being "sifted out" of the timeline.

Gorgeous graphics and very surreal storyline, when you can follow it. The characters are really fun and enjoyably written, again when you can follow it. However, the energy regen is really slow, and the costs to level up characters rapidly becomes very onerous. The biggest issue by far is that the English translation and localization of the game is just plain awful. Please, it's not "look at my back," it's "watch my back." Needs a lot of work on this!

None of the packs are helpful long term, unfortunately, once you learn their system, and definitely not worth the money. However, that aside, I find the game itself entertaining, and keeps my attention until I run out of energy. You will have to invest time into characters to progress, and not just power your way through, so there is a bit of strategy to implore upon. Artwork is beautiful, as well as fighting graphics. I'm currently on the 4th chapter grinding abit. I look forward to more of it.

Unique turn-based combat with consistent art design, generous currency, and awesome characters. There is an "island building" mode to gain afk resources, and that is where the afk aspect ends. No auto play (except on replay of resource levels) which is also a plus. End-game also offers quite a challenge at times, which keeps long-term players interested. All around just a ton to like here, with some of the cutest and most well designed characters I've seen in a game.
