Have you ever lost a game because of a blunder? That basic mistake that completely ruins your position? Even grandmasters make mistakes in important games.

It's time to train with focus to leave those blunders behind. The Academy of Blunders is an app that offers exclusive training sessions with real games to help you recognize and avoid blunders, as well as learn how to quickly punish the most common mistakes of your opponents.

By collecting real games from online players of all levels, we've selected the statistically most common blunder situations in human chess. You select your level and we provide a series of exercises for you to learn how to quickly differentiate blunders from good moves.

By recognizing these patterns, you'll be training your brain to avoid bad moves and, at the same time, quickly punish your opponent's blunders.

The best chess player is the one who makes the fewest mistakes. By practicing opening, middlegame, and endgame positions, you'll reduce the number of blunders you make and see your rating rise rapidly.

How does it work?

It consists of 10 practice exercises for you to train. Rate the suggested move as good or a mistake and track the results. Play against the engine in each position you want to explore or understand better. Save the exercises you found most interesting or challenging to do again later.

Each correct move is worth +1 point and each incorrect move -1 point.

Cumulative daily score: the more you train and get right, the more points you accumulate!

Set personal goals: your first challenge is to reach 300 training points. How many goals will you achieve?
