About this app

Blynq bridges your PC and Android phone or really any other combination of these 2, turning two separate devices into one connected workspace. Everything happens over your network.

Key features:
- Clipboard Sync — Copy on one device, paste on the other. Every clipboard entry is shared in real time and kept in a synced history across all connected devices.
- Shared Snippets — Save frequently used text once and reach it from any device.
- Remote Control — Play, pause, and adjust volume on your PC from your phone, or control your Android's media and volume from your desktop. Power commands (sleep, restart, shutdown) are supported too, in both directions. Note however that to use power commands for android, your device should be rooted otherwise it won't work.
- File Transfer — Send files up to 50MB between devices with a fully asynchronous transfer engine, built to avoid memory spikes and permission issues.
- Smart Discovery — Blynq finds your other devices automatically over UDP. If your network changes, a single tap on the refresh button restarts the scan.

Built for people who work across a PC and a phone every day: developers, writers, and anyone tired of emailing files to themselves or retyping text between devices.

Good 2 know:
- Works entirely on your local network (In the future you will be able to communicate between your devices over long distance via our external server, no data will be collected on our end).
- Media and volume control work out of the box; make sure Blynq has the "Modify audio settings" permission.
- Power commands (shutdown, restart, sleep) on Android require root or device owner privileges. Without them, you'll get a notification instead of the action being executed.
