About this app

Search a climb, watch your wall light up. Less time on your phone, more time on the wall.

LIGHT THE HOLDS
Search any climb and Boardsesh lights the holds on the wall over Bluetooth, on Kilter, Tension, MoonBoard, Decoy, Touchstone, Grasshopper and So iLL. Full LED control on all seven, not browse-only.

ONE APP FOR EVERY BOARD YOU CLIMB
Kilter, Tension and MoonBoard each ship their own app for their own board. Boardsesh works across all of them, plus Decoy, Touchstone, Grasshopper and So iLL, in one place. Your whole climbing history across every board lives here.

BOARD HISTORY, ALWAYS ON
Share a board and you lose track of the last climb fast, and someone always wipes it by accident.
In Boardsesh every board you connect to has a live feed of what's lit on that wall right now: the climb's name, who lit it, who set it, the grade and angle, and recent sends. It updates as the wall changes, so you always know what's up there.

STAYS CONNECTED
Boardsesh keeps the link to your board alive in the background, so the holds stay lit through your burns even when the screen is off or you switch apps. An ongoing notification puts Previous and Next on your lock screen, so you can move through the queue without reopening the app. No reconnecting between climbs.

SESSIONS WITH YOUR CREW
Start a session and you and your crew can share one queue everyone can drive. Anyone can light the next climb on the wall. When you're done you get a recap and tracking: sends and attempts, grade spread, your hardest send, and progress over time.

BUILD A WORKOUT
Pick Volume, Pyramid, Ladder or Grade Focus, set a target grade and warm-up, preview the climbs, then push them to the wall one at a time.

TRACK YOUR CLIMBING
Record sends, flashes and attempts, and watch your sends and grades climb on the Progress tab. Bring your past Kilter and Tension climbs across by importing your logbook from Aurora Climbing.

FIND MORE TO CLIMB
Follow your crew and setters, search climbers, and pin playlists from Discover.

This looks to have some real potential to be awesome, but is currently insanely buggy. Also it appears to only integrate with an outdated kilter dataset, which will be a progressively bigger problem as time goes on and new climbs get added to the new kilter app that won't be accessible here. Unfortunately the second issue is likely in kilters control

good community effort but horrendously confusing and overloaded UI. Just plain unusable at this point, sorry Edit: version 2.0.0 is a huge step up; it finally works. still some kinks to work out but definitely usable and data import didn't screw up as kilter's own multi week process did. never going back to them. updated to 4 stars. cheers

Hey Pete, we're sorry to hear you had a bad experience! To be honest, we didn't love the 1.0 version of the app either, it was a web app pretending to be native. So we rewrote the app from the ground up using native UI, we're hoping you'd give it another try!! Let us know what you think!

Currently the best option for board climbing. only caveat being it can't sync sent climbs back to the original board apps but this is the fault of the other apps and companies not boardsesh. + open source
