You unlock your phone for one thing, and twenty minutes later you are still scrolling with no memory of what you read. That is not weak willpower. Those apps are built for it.
Bodhiscreen puts a pause between the impulse and the app.
HOW IT WORKS
You choose which apps to limit. When you open one of them, Bodhiscreen steps in first and offers a guided breathing exercise. When it ends, you decide calmly: go in, or leave it for later.
It does not lock you out of your phone or punish you. It gives you back the moment of choosing.
WHAT YOU GET
• Blocking for the apps you pick, with schedules and days you set
• A guided breathing exercise before you go in
• A quick check-in on how you feel, so patterns show up over time
• An optional daily limit on how many times you enter each app
• Your progress: mindful pauses, time recovered and streaks
• Quotes to bring you back to the present, with a home screen widget
• Available in English and Spanish
YOUR PRIVACY
Bodhiscreen uses Android's Accessibility service to know which app you just opened, so it can show you the pause in time. That is all it does with that permission.
It does not read your screen content, does not log what you type, and does not access other apps' data. Which app you opened stays on your phone — it is never sent to any server.
WHO IT IS FOR
For anyone who wants to use their apps without their apps using them. If autopilot scrolling is eating your evenings, or you want to reach the end of the day without that feeling of time slipping away, this is for you.
It is not another meditation app, and not a blocker that shuts you out of your phone. It is a moment of breathing exactly where you need it most.
Bodhiscreen is a digital wellbeing tool. It is not a substitute for professional mental health care.
Breathe before you open that app. Less autopilot scrolling, more intention.
