About this app

As heart disease progresses in dog’s towards heart failure, their resting breathing (or respiratory) rate will increase. This app allows the pet owners to count and record their pets resting respiratory rate and facilitates transfer of the information to their pet’s veterinarian. Sharing a pets resting respiratory rate can help veterinarians detect the early signs of heart failure.

The app was presented to me by my veterinarian as something I need to do. The app is flawed in the following ways. It makes a very loud noise for every press you make when counting breaths. It startles the dog. Because you are supposed to monitor when they are resting, this noise defeats the purpose. Secondly, you can add a profile picture of your pet, but that feature is not working for me. These issues seem basic/fundamental and shouldn't be a problem. Please fix.

Love the app. I like how it's easy to track breath history and make comments along with the recording. Despite what people say I actually like the clicking, I have it at a volume just above silent so my pet never reacts to it, it's additional feedback confirming I hit the button to count a breath as I'm watching my pet breathe for accurate results. Only thing I wish would change would be the addition of more species of pets as I'm using this app for my cat.

The app is good for measuring breathing rate in pets. The only thing that I don't like is that it's automatically set the make a noise for every breath you record, and if I forget to turn it off before starting the measurement, it disturbs my cat and I have to wait for him to settle down again before I can take the reading.
