It's ok, but I don't like that you can't set it to any instrument, but it is very precise. In my opinion, it is almost too precise, as even the sound of breathing makes it go off. I live in a house of 5, so the background noises almost always effect what it says. It would be amazing if it didn't pick up as many background noise and if you could set an instrument rather than being on concert notes all of the time.
I got this several years ago, bought the Pro version, just loaded it on my new Samsung. YOU CAN SET YOUR A at the Hertz you like!!! Swoon. I went back to Droid FOR THIS TUNER. It's not on iPhone. I couldn't find anything comparable on iPhone, finally get a Droid again AND THEY HAD MADE IT BETTER!!!
Wrong Key I tune my bass guitar to its frequency and it's a key off. So when I'm playing with my band I'm off a key. I can't even tune this thing to the right key. I use it to find out what key they are playing in and it's telling me the wrong Key. No wonder it's free.
Ridiculous The latest update note is ridiculous. It basically implies bugs may not be fixed for non-pro users. Which does a naught to obscure poor dev support. Bug fixes should be implemented in both the versions, or don't allow people to use the app free. Simple. Albeit I love this app, so I won't indulge my displeasure at the devs on the ratings of this app.
All of the notes I played on my tuned violin were at least 10 Hz off. I have been playing for 5 years and I know what an out of tune string sounds like
It just works. And better than expected no nags just works :) and best it has worked on all devices I have owned and used from a cruddy no brand $25 phone to the premium phones. I love this on my tablet when doing bends and setups (intonation)
- Minor bugfixes in the free version (pro received more!)
- [PRO] Update temperament selection; use list instead of big knob.
- Added a second signal level visualizer to show where the background noise lies.
