The classic brick breaker, rebuilt for one finger. Slide to move the bat, tap to launch the ball, and bring the wall down brick by brick. Five levels of difficulty, thirty handcrafted walls, five power-ups, and a two-player mode where you and a friend break the same wall from two phones. And it all plays offline.
PLAY OFFLINE, ANYWHERE
The whole game lives on your phone. No Wi-Fi, no mobile data, no login to play alone. On a plane, in the metro, in the mountains with no signal: every wall and every power-up works the same. Only two-player mode goes online.
FIVE STARS, THIRTY WALLS
The game climbs from one star to five. Each star is a set of handcrafted walls, and every wall is a picture: a question mark, a smile, a rocket, a mushroom, a castle, a butterfly, a heart in a steel frame, a maze with a single way in. Beat every wall of a star and the next one opens. The first star is a warm-up; at five stars the way in is one brick wide, and you will need more than one try.
AIM, NOT LUCK
Where the ball hits the bat decides where it goes: the middle sends it straight up, the edges send it off at a steep angle. The bat follows your finger instantly, with no lag. Once you feel it, you stop just returning the ball and start aiming: through the gap, into the space behind the bricks, where it bounces back and forth and does the work for you.
FIVE POWER-UPS
Some bricks hide a capsule, and you cannot tell which until they break. Catch it with the bat:
• Green makes the bat longer.
• Blue makes it sticky: the ball waits until you tap, so you choose the moment and the angle.
• Red gives the bat two guns, for the bricks the ball cannot reach.
• Orange turns one ball into three.
• Light blue slows the ball down when it is getting away from you.
BRICKS WITH A MIND OF THEIR OWN
• Steel never breaks: it is the architecture of the wall, and you play around it.
• Stone takes two hits, and the crack shows which ones are halfway gone.
• The key: break it and every steel brick on the wall disappears. Getting to the key is the puzzle.
• Explosive bricks take their neighbours with them. A row of them is a fuse.
• Glass sacks hold three balls: break one and they all come out at once.
• Regenerating bricks grow back after six seconds, closing the gate behind you.
THINGS THAT FLY
Strange creatures drift across the field and get in the ball's way. Hit them with the ball or the guns and they pop; a few seconds later they are back, so clear the way while you can.
THE WALL DOES NOT WAIT
From the second star on, the wall creeps down towards you. If it reaches the red line you lose a ball and the wall goes back up. And the longer you stay on the same wall, the faster the ball flies. There is no hiding in long, safe rallies.
PLAY TWO, SAME WALL
Two players, two phones, one wall. Each of you holds a bat at the bottom of the screen, one on the left, one on the right, and you bring the wall down together: every ball either of you misses is a ball lost for both. If nobody shows up, the computer takes the second bat, so the game starts straight away. Two-player mode needs a Google sign-in; playing alone needs nothing.
NO WAITING
No lives to buy, no energy bar, no timer before the next game. You start with three balls, and breaking bricks wins you more. Your stars stay with you: every wall you have opened stays open.
HOW TO PLAY
1. Slide your finger to move the bat.
2. Tap to launch the ball.
3. Aim with the edges of the bat, catch the capsules.
4. Find the key, open the steel, clear every brick.
5. Win the wall and move on to the next. Win them all and the star is yours.
The game is free and carries advertising. That is what pays for it.
