Part L photo evidence, plot by plot.
Approved Document L asks for photographs of the key construction details on every new home, taken before they are covered up, with geo-location to confirm where and when each one was taken. Your SAP assessor (OCDEA) needs them for the as-built BREL report and EPC. Buildsnapper is the checklist and the camera for that job, made for UK house builders and their site teams.
THE APPENDIX B CHECKLIST
• Every plot gets the Appendix B checklist (2021 edition): foundations and ground floor, external walls, roof, openings, airtightness and building services.
• Each item says what its photo needs to show, with an example to compare.
• If an item doesn't apply, mark it N/A and say why. The report prints the reason.
• Add supporting documents as PDFs at the end of the report.
ON SITE, WITH OR WITHOUT SIGNAL
• No signal? Keep going. Photos are saved on the phone as you take them, each with its location and time.
• Buildsnapper waits for a proper GPS fix and shows how close it is. No photo goes into a report without its location.
• Each photo keeps the local time it was taken, marked GMT or BST.
• Add a photo from your gallery, as long as it carries its own location.
• If the app closes mid-photo, it finds the photo again when you come back.
• It warns you before the phone runs out of space.
A FINISHED REPORT FOR YOUR ASSESSOR
• One PDF per plot, with every photo, its location and time, a map, and the reason for anything marked N/A.
• A photo archive with each file named the way Appendix B asks, by plot number and detail reference, such as P1-3b.
• The send screen shows what the report holds before it goes.
• Send it from site in a few taps. Your assessor gets it by email, so they don't need the app.
• Every report you've sent stays in Reports, to open or send again.

• Add several plots at once.
• Each plot shows how many of its six sections are complete, and when it was sent and to whom.
• Add your site managers to a project, and they can follow its progress in the Buildsnapper Manager app, which has its own subscription.
