About this app

Join an Austrian health study with the EAN Sleep Health Check app

The Sleep Health Check App is a free app designed to collect sleep and quality of life parameters through Participants -Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) over time. This app was developed as part of the European Academy of Neurology (EAN)´s “Burden of Sleep-Wake Disorders” study.

It aims to conduct a 12-month survey on behaviors related to insomnia, excessive daytime sleepiness, and other factors associated with quality of life among participants from the general population.

You can monitor your own entries over time and, if you wish, export and show and discuss your results with your doctor or healthcare provider.

No directly identifiable personal information is collected.
This app is not intended for medical use.

Take part in groundbreaking research
By joining the study, you will help researchers better understand the impact of sleep disorders at an individual and societal level. Participation is voluntary and anonymous. You will be asked to complete scheduled questionnaires every 3 months, at least for a 12- month period.

What will you need to answer?
You will complete well-known sleep-related questionnaires, such as the Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS), the Insomnia Severity Index (ISI), and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). No scientific or medical knowledge is required; the questionnaires simply ask about your usual sleep habits and experiences in everyday language.

Simple and convenient
Answering the questionnaires is quick and easy. With reminders and a clean, intuitive design, you will be able to answer the questionnaires anytime, anywhere.
Your input directly supports medical research while fitting smoothly into your daily routine.

How does participation work?

1. Register and get started.
The app will guide you step by step through the questionnaires.

2. Take part five times a year.
Each survey only takes a few minutes to complete.

3. View your results.
You will receive clear visual representations of your personal results directly in the app.

4. Available in multiple languages.
The app will be accessible in German and English.

Secure and confidential
Participation is anonymous. All data are handled in strict accordance with the highest privacy standards, ensuring that your responses remain completely anonymous, safe, and confidential throughout the study.

Download on Android
The Sleep Health Check app is available for free on Android devices.
