BrioVocab helps you build a French vocabulary you can actually use, and keep.
Words you learn here come back exactly when you are about to forget them. The review schedule adapts to your own memory, so your time goes to the words that need it instead of the ones you already know.
SIX WAYS TO PRACTISE EVERY WORD
Recognising a word on a card is not the same as being able to say it, so BrioVocab drills each word from different angles:
• Choose the right translation
• Build the word from its parts
• Type it from memory
• Get the article right (le, la, un, une)
• Work from the definition instead of the translation
• Listen and understand it by ear
TRAININGS
• Cards — short spaced-repetition sessions of 10 words
• Super Coach — focused sessions of 5 words that mix all the exercise types
• Grammar — targeted grammar practice
• Podcasts — listening, with vocabulary drawn from what you hear
SPEAKING PRACTICE
Pick a topic and a CEFR level, then hold a spoken conversation. You speak, BrioVocab answers with a natural voice, and your speech is transcribed and assessed so you can hear what to fix. Available in French, English and Spanish.
AI TOOLS
• Gap-fill exercises generated from any text you paste, or from a list of words at the level you choose
• An expert chat for questions about grammar, usage and nuance
• Audio generation, so you can hear any word or sentence spoken
• Share the exercises and courses you build with anyone by link
EVERY WORD, IN DETAIL
Each entry carries its phonetic transcription, gender and number, part of speech, definition, usage frequency, an illustration, and audio both with and without articles.
FREE AND PRO
The core trainings are free. A Pro subscription and credit packs unlock the AI tools and higher limits; both are optional, and you can keep learning without them. Subscriptions renew automatically and can be cancelled at any time in Google Play
