About this game

Remnants of the Rift is a roguelite tactics game where you can pause, plan, and play. You are Morgan, dimension-diving merc, delving deeper and deeper into The Bast at the request of the factions looking to exploit this new reality. The game combines the tactics of grid-based strategy with the thrills of an action game. Each level plays out in real-time, but you can pause the game to assess the battlefield, prep your attacks and plan your next move. Use mods and equipment to enhance your preferred style of play and overcome your interdimensional foes.

Every dive is different: change your strategies on the fly to counter a dimension in flux. Study each of the procedurally-generated battles and adapt by customizing your playstyle to defeat all enemies and reap the bountiful rewards. But don’t worry, death isn’t the end. So head home, re-equip, and dive back in.

honestly this would probably be a five out of five rating if the game was playable.. all three times I've tried there's a movement bug that makes it so you can't move at all, other than using your techniques. took me a while to get out of the tutorial because of it and then I was good until I got to the first boss and I spent like 5 minutes fighting him only to have my movement locked again. well if it gets fixed I would change my rating. uninstalling for now.

I don't usually write reviews, but I ended up putting quite a few hours into this one. I'm a big fan of roguelites, and what kept me coming back was the combat. The ability to stop time, think about what you want to do, and then watch everything play out is a really fun twist. It makes fights feel more tactical without losing the pace. The art style is great, the music fits the atmosphere really well, and I found myself getting interested in the world and the story more than I expected.

I wanted to love it. and the few moments I got to play it was fantastic. but there are tooo many game breaking bugs for me to rate it any higher atm. sometimes you lose the ability to move your character. you can still use abilities but normal movement stops working. renown upgrades randomly check off for no reason. sometimes buying upgrade in the main shop will freeze the game. the reroll shop Rhodes i believe will rolll new chips but then delete all yours and the rerolls leaving none.
