Setup your account before your trip! My device and app has and continues to work as advertised. The device for now is just a SMS, tracking and SOS, nothing more. The price of the subscription is worth adding satellite communications to a standard smart phone. If you're looking for maps and weather from this device, it isn't designed for that but I understand new devices under this brand may offer that in the future

logs out randomly for no good reason and an internet connection is required to log back in -- and sometimes it still won't allow it. Buggy, freezes, and unreliable. I regret buying the yearly plan because if I can't even get this to work at my house, with internet, I surely won't be able to use it in the boonies. At the moment, for example, I'm stuck in a log-in loop passwords recognized, and the "get code via text" option not texting. Just because I turned device off, it seems.

Giant mess of confusing subscriptions and addons. when i go to view invoices, none load to even see what is what. Can't just see a list of subscriptions and prices. tracking is an addon. im just finishing my first full year and cancelled because the renewal price is $190 plus $5mo for tracking. I only know that from a year old email, not anything in app. Too much for my usage especially where there is cell service in 95% of the areas I go. It failed me with a log out the one time i wanted sms
