People actually respond on this app unlike tinder. Girls, YOU MESSAGE FIRST. Thats the whole point of the app. Guys literally cannot message first. If you arent getting any matches then either lower your standards or pick better photos of yourself. Its not always the app's fault so stop blaming them. In the beginning, they let you see who likes you before hand but then you have to pay for it afterwards. I did and thought it was worth it. Seriously though if youre not getting matches, maybe its you and not the app.
Matches are rare and messages are even more rare. Very common you'll get a match (up to 1 a week if you're lucky) and they just disappear when the time limit is up. Worked better in Australia, but not so much for London behaviours it seems. Something needs to be done to encourage people to actually start a conversation and not just use it as an ego booster.
1st of all do yourself a favour and briefly skim how this app basically is designed to learn about you and then sell your information. Found in their privacy section in settings. Matching is not my issue, and I swipe right on 99% of the women on here. I notice a huge surge in matches on Sunday evening. My issue is I get a feeling boys are being used on dead accounts to keep you hanging around. I've had a few nice dates and conversations, but most of the Sunday night bot matches end after the "hi how are you's" don't pay for this never would, subscription doesn't offer any real benefits. I'm convinced most women are using this to boost Instagram numbers.
First time I used bumble boost; it cancelled after a month. Once the update happened in November, I assumed after the month it had cancelled but then I received a charge on my card. I've only had 4 matches since getting this app almost 2 years ago. This app isn't all it's cracked up to be.
Honestly was a little put off by not being able to message right away. But I quickly learned that I would have better convos when the girls had to message me first and show some initiative instead of me having to do all the work to start the relationship. Huge thumbs up
I believed I was buying 1x week "boost" but on checking my bank statement I noticed it has been taking out $6.49 each week under a subscription service. On purchasing it said 1x week not 1x week subscription on going. Very sneaky app and I'm hoping it has been cancelled now since clicking in the app and double checking theres no bumble under subscriptions in Google play. I found the matches and how the app functioned good except this payment option. Update: Bumble responded within 30 minutes of my email where I asked if my subscription had been cancelled and they confirmed and explained ANY Boost automatically signs to a subscription. Regardless of paying a week or a month. I honestly thought I was purchasing a one off week boost but no.
