Yarnsmith is a lightweight project tracker designed for knitters and crocheters who want a clear home for every work in progress. The app keeps your craft table organized with a cork board layout where each project appears as a round yarn ball label pinned in place. From the Dashboard, you can see your total project count and current in-progress count at a glance, along with your three most recent projects. A quick action button lets you start a new project directly from the Dashboard. The Projects tab gives you a searchable list of every knitting or crochet project, and you can filter by status to focus on Not Started, In Progress, or Finished items. When you add a project, you enter the project name, yarn brand and colorway, and needle size in millimeters, then choose a current status. Each saved project can be edited later or deleted when you no longer need it. All details are stored locally on your device, so your project notes stay available whenever you open the app. The Yarn Stash tab groups your work by distinct yarn brands and shows how many projects use each yarn, making it easy to see which fibers you reach for most often. The Needle Guide lists the needle sizes in your projects with a count for each size, helping you remember which gauge you used across different makes. Yarnsmith’s visual details keep tracking friendly, with status markers that distinguish Not Started, In Progress, and Finished projects without relying on check marks. Because every section is split into its own bottom tab, moving between your dashboard, projects, yarn stash, and needle guide feels immediate and focused. Crafters managing multiple WIPs can use Yarnsmith to reduce the guesswork around yarn choices, needle sizes, and status updates. It is a practical daily companion for staying organized between knitting sessions and for picking up a project right where you left off.
