PRACTICE TOOLS
Metronome. Two full modes: a practice metronome with subdivisions, tap tempo and tempo markings, plus a programmable click track where you can build multi-section programs with tempo changes, ritardandos, fermatas and count-ins. A floating mini overlay keeps the beat going as you move around the app.

Tuner. A chromatic tuner that uses your device's microphone to detect pitch in real time, with a large meter face, a steady needle, a cent display, adjustable tolerance and A4 calibration from 400 to 480 Hz. It supports 15 instruments with correct transposition, shows written and concert pitch together, and includes a reference tone generator with a drone mode for intonation work.

Board Mode. Put the tuner, metronome or rhythm generator on a projector with one control filling the screen, legible from the back of the room.

FINGERINGS AND NOTE READING
Interactive fingering charts for every standard band instrument: flute, oboe, bassoon, clarinet, bass clarinet, saxophones, trumpet, horn, trombone, baritone, tuba and mallet percussion. Students quiz themselves in multiple choice, or use Build It mode to tap keys directly on a blank instrument diagram.

Note Explorer. Browse the staff instead of being quizzed on it: treble, bass and grand staff, with every note named and played.

Note reading quizzes cover treble and bass clef across customizable ranges.

RHYTHM AND COUNTING
Rhythm Explorer. Build rhythms measure by measure from a tap-based palette, see them drawn in real notation with proper beaming and counting syllables, and play them back with a count-in. Custom time signatures, tuplets and ties.

Rhythm Quiz. Four modes: identify the counting from notation, identify the notation from counting, build the counts, and build the rhythm. Eight difficulty levels plus a method book mode aligned to Habits of a Successful Beginner Band Musician by Rush and Scott, exercises 1 to 197. Wrong answers are modeled on the mistakes students actually make.

Counting is correct in simple, compound and odd meters, including 6/8, 9/8, 12/8, 5/8 and 7/8 with sixteenths and dotted values. Rests hold their beats, and the counting says so. Traditional or Eastman syllables, with sub-counts above, below, in parentheses, or off.

MUSIC THEORY
Intervals, in four phases: generic intervals, half and whole steps, interval quality, and augmented and diminished intervals, with an interactive keyboard, staff notation and a quiz covering all four.

Dictionary. Every term on its own page, with search and a symbol beside each entry.

Vocabulary drills with category-based progression.

BUILT FOR THE PRACTICE ROOM
CaesuraLab works offline and loads instantly. There is no account, no sign-in and no setup. Students open it and start practicing, and every tool is in one place instead of spread across a tuner app, a metronome app and a theory app.

Every control has a name, a visible focus ring and a target large enough to hit on a phone. Text and interface colors meet WCAG AA contrast on every screen.
