App used to work perfectly. Recent update broke the #1 thing that most users want to do with it; open it from the background and switch lights on or off. Now every time you open the app from the background, you have to go back to the home page, and then back into the devices page before you have control of anything. Perfect example of a developer trying to fix something that wasn't broken or trying to improve it and breaking it instead. Still technically works so 3/5, but this needs a patch ASAP

Simply will not connect. Followed all the instructions, and the 140 step advice for when it inevitably doesn't work, which can be found online, and appliance (in this case a bulb) is found but can't be added. Useless. Don't buy any Calex products. Possibly the worst "smart" appliances I've tried.

Genuinely one of the worst devices and apps i have ever used in my life. Way more often than is reasonable, the bulb will lose connection. Unfortunately some absolute spastic decided that the failure mode should be to reset the device, which causes it to flash. Of course, if its got no connection you cant use the atrociously designed, clunky app to connect to it. After 12 months and hundreds of resets its just been yeeted out the window. I sincerely hope there is an Ebola outbreak at Calex HQ

We've improved the efficiency of the code, and developed an entirely new functionality. Based on feedback from our community, an option has been introduced that allows for smooth switching between the standard and advanced home screens. This enables you to seamlessly navigate between views, allowing you to customize the app according to your personal preferences. You can now find this option under settings (standard or advanced view).
