About this app

CalmCam is a simple Android app for background video recording.

Start recording with the rear camera, then use other apps or turn off the screen while recording continues. Android displays a foreground-service notification so you can see that recording is active.

Choose the settings that fit your needs:
• Recording duration
• Loop recording count
• Resolution and frame rate
• Video quality and bitrate
• Audio recording
• Low-light enhancement
• Video stabilization
• Exposure compensation

When recording ends, videos are saved in CalmCam’s app-specific storage. Play them back in the app, select multiple videos, export them to shared device storage, or delete recordings you no longer need.

The basic flow is simple:
1. Choose your recording settings.
2. Start recording.
3. Continue using your device or turn off the screen.
4. Return to CalmCam to review and manage your videos.

Camera and microphone permissions are used for recording. You can turn off audio recording in Settings. Available recording features and options may vary by device hardware and Android version.
