heads up for anyone considering this hardware and application. Your device must have a compass or the software will simply calculate all directions as if you are facing north and thus be completely useless. Make sure you have a compass first. you'd be surprised at what devices do not. for instance, all three of my Samsung tablets do not. The app really needs a backup function based on GPS readings.

App repeatedly crashes and freezes. Works OK, if you dont go into any of the settings or parameters. It would also be nice to be able to have options for how long the wind average measurement is taken across.

this app could be good if it worked properly. It freezes as soon as you change screens or try to pull up the menu to pair the device. This app should have never made it out of Beta phase.
