Discover the stories behind the Bernburg memorial through augmented reality.

This app is part of the Memorise project and was created to support reflection, remembrance, and learning about the victims of Nazi Aktion T4 at the Bernburg memorial site in Germany.

Using your phone’s camera, you can scan portraits and image markers at the memorial wall. The app recognizes each image and opens interactive content connected to the individual person. Through photographs, archival material, and multilingual texts, visitors can explore personal stories and historical context directly at the site.

The experience combines physical remembrance with digital storytelling to create a deeper and more personal connection to the history of Bernburg and Aktion T4.
