GOOD APP FOR NEW DRIVERS I've seen quite a lot negative feedback regarding the app, so I was hesitant to try at first. However, I would say that the app is really helpful for new drivers to practice for the upcoming tests: the GPS is accurate, oral instructions come on time. More than that, the routes are realistic (I actually got the most popular route marked in the real test, so yeah much more confident). There are some challenging routes though, but it's good to prepare yourself in advance.

I downloaded this because it was advertised as a free app, but that is highly misleading. While it's free to download, you cannot actually use any of the features without a mandatory in-app purchase. It’s essentially a paid app disguised as a free one. To make matters worse, other users report the app is still loaded with ads. If the developers are already making money from ad revenue, locking the entire experience behind a paywall is unacceptable. Save your time and find an alternative that is

Edit: Email support is very responsive and polite! There is an avoid motorways setting but it is not accessible via Android Auto, which is where I was looking. Be sure to configure before you get in the car :-) I'd prefer not to sign up for a week / month before trying it, but has been good for the 2 routes we did so far via Android Auto. Apart from trying to navigate us onto the M56 when heading to the test centre! Needs a 'no motorways' setting given it's aimed at learners.
