About this game

Step into the shadows with CaseFiles, a dark-themed number puzzle inspired by classic merge mechanics and wrapped in a mysterious noir atmosphere. Silent figures in coats and hats watch from the darkness while every move on the board becomes part of an unfolding investigation.

In CaseFiles, you play on a 4×4 grid where tiles with the values 2 or 4 appear one by one. Move all tiles left, right, up, or down to combine matching numbers and create higher values. Every successful merge increases your score and changes the rhythm of the game. After each move, a new tile appears, forcing you to think ahead and adapt your strategy carefully.

The objective is simple yet deeply engaging: reach the 2048 tile or continue merging numbers to achieve the best score possible. The board gradually fills as the tension rises, and every decision matters. Once the grid is full and no more moves are available, the session ends and your final score is recorded in the leaderboard.

The atmosphere of CaseFiles is built around dark tones, mysterious silhouettes, and a minimalistic visual style that keeps focus on the gameplay while creating a unique mood. Smooth controls allow fast directional swipes across the entire play area, making every action feel responsive and natural.

Game progress and records are saved automatically, even if the session is interrupted or the application is closed. If the game is minimized or another app is opened, gameplay pauses instantly and can be resumed when you return. Dialog windows fully block interaction with the board while active, ensuring stable and predictable gameplay behavior.
