Identify ~1,500 fish species offline in about a second, record your catch, and watch every fish you've caught swim in your own water.
CatchRules is a fish identifier and a living catch log. Photograph what you caught, get the species on-device with no account and no signal, record the length, and every fish you name joins your water and swims there, at the size you recorded, at the depth it really lives.
IDENTIFY ANY FISH, OFFLINE
Photograph your catch and CatchRules names the species in about a second. The on-device AI classifier recognizes 1,494 fish species, from largemouth bass and rainbow trout to halibut, red drum, Chinook salmon, and hundreds more. No internet, no cloud upload, no account. Works at the dock, on the boat, or deep in the backcountry.
YOUR CATCHES, ALIVE
Every fish you identify joins your water and swims there, at the length you recorded, at the depth it really lives.
Descend from the 2 m shallows through the weed edge and the channel to 80 m of open blue. The light dims, the colour goes, suspended matter streams past as you drop, and the species change with the depth: bluegill and largemouth up top, walleye and pike at the drop-off, striped bass and sturgeon in the channel, tuna and sailfish out deep.
50 game fish to collect, from common to legendary, each on a photoreal model that swims the way that species actually swims. A tuna covers water in long glides, a lingcod hangs. Log a length and the fish is rendered at that size, so your personal best looks like a personal best.
No care loop, no timers, no feeding. It is a trophy case, not a pet.
RECORD THE LENGTH
Enter the length in centimetres or inches and it stays with the catch. Your biggest of each species is the one that takes its place in the water, so the collection is a record of your best fish rather than your most recent. Reference only. Always confirm size with a physical ruler before keeping a catch.
LOG EVERY CATCH
Every identification lands in your personal collection: a visual log of every species you've photographed, with dates and recorded lengths. Import old catch photos from your gallery and they join the log with the date each photo was taken.
SPECIES NOTES
Each species has its own card. What it is, where it lives, how to tell it from the fish it gets confused with, and hand-written notes on more than 1,500 species.
