About this app

Shows progress bar directly on screen by mirroring notifications containing progress bar
Tired of pulling down notification panel every time you want to check progress of your ongoing downloads? This app allows you to have progress bar of your ongoing downloads right in front of your eyes; saving you from interrupting your current activity.

Compatibility
- Supports Android 4.3+
- DOES NOT require root nor Xposed Framework

Features
- custom styles: line or circle with percentage
- adjustable position and other visual elements
- parallel downloads supported
- custom colors and sounds
- per-app progress bar settings
- smart detection of apps that generate progress bar notifications

General requirements
- requires "Draw over other apps" special permission
- requires "Notification access" special permission
- requires Storage permission for custom sounds to work properly on pre-Marshmallow devices
- app guides you to enable these special permissions when needed

OEM specific requirements
Some OEMs like to implement their own "optimizations" for battery and RAM on top of Android often breaking standard Android features and behavior by mindlessly killing everything without exception including services that are essential and should not be touched.
Paradoxically, such "optimizations" make things worse as it is far more energy inefficient to create app from scratch than to start it from cache.

MIUI requirements:
- Enable Autostart for the app
- Enable Popup window while app is in background
- Set battery saver to "No restriction" for the app
- Disable any "deep cleaning" features OS may have

OnePlus requirements:
- Disable deep cleaning feature

Absolutely does not work. Installed it on a Samsung A16 (Android 14) a week ago, gave it all the permissions it needed, set up the animation I wanted, & waited for the app list to be populated. It detected Google Play Store, where it's not needed but works, & My Files, where it is needed but has yet to work after a week. Glad I didn't pay for it. It is useless.

I used to use Download Progress++ when using Xposed, but have since stopped using Xposed. Glad to see a non-Xposed solution! Edit July 16, 2023: May you please make it possible to move the circular style progress to be moved to the very top of the screen? I have a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. It looks so odd to me having it anywhere underneath the hole punch camera.

I have always wanted this app & then finally spent the money for the full version only to realise that each time I restart my phone or power off completely & then power on my phone it fails to work at all, only uninstalling it & installing it again will fix it which is annoying if you have set all your apps accordingly. Will adjust rating when this is resolved. P.S. also was presented with an error whilst trying to generate a debug log on second failure. Tried emailing days ago. No optimisations

Well. This is unfortunate. Modifications that OEMs introduce on top of Android often violate general rules and it's a nightmare for every developer. What I can suggest is to look for any "battery optimizations" your system may have and exempt app from it. Such "battery optimizations" are often poorly designed and kill essential services.
