About this app

Free Game Findings is a subreddit/group online that users share their free video game promotional finds to. This application exists to allow a user to have an alternative avenue to access the content from FGF as well as enabling notifications to make sure you never miss a free find!

This application was created by the creator of the FreeGameFindings subreddit and is meant to broaden the reach of FGF while supplying a better means of being informed about new posts to the subreddit.

Features:

* Toggleable notifications for all of the latest posts to /r/FreeGameFindings
* Filters for blocking/skipping posts that match keywords you supply
* List view of /r/FreeGameFindings posts (roughly 25 of the latest posts)
* Expandable views of posts that include Reddit links and direct links
* Saving feature allowing you to keep a post for later
* Night mode and light mode colour settings based on your device
* Clean design using Material Design (3)

This wont host all post on FGF, but instead a focus on the latest items. This can be viewed as a limitation, but overall it is fine considering posts outside of this scope are likely expired and no longer relevant.

Ratings and reviews

Been using it for most of the year, does exactly what it says, almost as fast as the Twitter notifications (often only a minute or less between them) and lightyears ahead of the dreadful Reddit app. If it were only possible to use it to receive new comment notifications on individual Reddit posts then I could happily remove both Reddit & Twitter. As it is, it's an excellent, simple and lightweight app that quickly delivers new FGF posts, ideal for those wishing to leave Twitter behind for good.

Great basic functionality, but filters need improvement. If I want to add a new item to the filter, it removes all the old filters I had added. The only way to add ONE new filter is to type the entire set of filters all over again in addition to the new one. Maybe filters should be a checklist sort of thing?

The notifications are very delayed which means most of the giveaways are gone before I even learned about them. This needs instant notifications.
