I love that I can get the Charlotte news on my phone. Don't get me wrong. And I love that. I can get notifications pushed to my phone when something happens. Great. what is so incredibly frustrating is trying to read an article from a push notification. I pressed the notification, it takes me to the app, the article comes up and then it tells me to log in. so I log in. And after that does it take me to that article... no! it takes me to the home page. Good luck for me trying to find the article.

I subscribed temporarily for some election coverage. Was surprised at the operation of the app. When you search the app, the search results are miniature physical newspaper pages, in 2023, I kid you not. You still have to go the web site for most articles, even if you are signed in with a paid subscription. I rate this app 1 🌟 or 5💩, take your pick. Better to read the "paper" or the web browser version.

I appreciate the opportunity to support and access the local news with the app. However, there are a lot of bugs that make this app frustrating to use. (1) There is not a search feature to locate specific articles, (2) The share link only provides the associated image not the entire article, (3) When I click on references to previous articles, it takes me back to the sign in page, & (4) When I attempt to sign in to read the articles, it doesn't allow me to select the correct Google account.

Our development team is working on enhancing the search feature and fixing the issue with Push Notifications, they will be addressed in our next app release version 9.1.6. For the sign in issue, could you please take a video or screen shots and email them to mobile-team@mcclatchyinteractive.com for further assistance? Thank you.
