So disappointing that I have to hunt elsewhere for box scores. Plus, a stale story weeks old remained in the local section top five stories for many weeks. I pay for a digital subscription and expect much better.
Born in Miama, grew up and living in Broward. Currently in an ALF in Hollywood, Florida. Btw don't get me started on Erasing History from the books, and emigrants refusing to Learn English-language!!!!!
This is a truly abysmal app from a storied paper. It isn't even good enough to be called an afterthought -- because that would imply at least some thought went into this app. There are essentially just lists of article headlines in a small font under different headings, with tiny photo thumbnails on the right margin. The bulk of the articles are days old. The local news section will frequently have the same article for as long as two weeks. There is no search function. What's perhaps most laughable is that you are expected to pay for this elementary school level mess, at least if you're not already a print subscriber. I'd say somebody at the Herald (or their parent McClatchy) is asleep at the switch, but more likely no one was ever even at the switch.
MH gives the best local and at-large news without limits. And, it continues to be one of the best print and online news source in the country.
Awesome app. Thanks
Great free online newspaper.
