• King-side and queen-side castling with proper safety checks
• En passant
• Pawn promotion with a piece-picker dialog
• Check, checkmate, and stalemate detection
• 50-move rule draw
• Threefold repetition draw
• Insufficient material draw
• Legal-move hints (can be toggled off for a cleaner look)
• Last-move highlighting and live check indicator
