AMB-R is a simplified and alternate take on FM synthesis that fits snugly in your pocket. Shape crystalline sounds, noisy textures, or sharp basslines anytime and anywhere. Further refine and sequence your creations and parameters at home, in the studio or on stage or just use AMB-R as an external synthesizer via USB MIDI controllers or a DAW.

Really easy to get cool, unique sounds fast...has more of "a vibe of its own" in a really good way than just about any other synth app I can think of. Works well with receiving midi from external hardware. Built-in keyboard and 4x4 grid are each fun and cleverly designed. It's easy to wish for a little more from the sequencer, but I appreciate that this thing is mostly just trying to be a great intuitive synth that's fun to explore and consistently inspiring. Happy to use external sequencing

Really nice enjoyable app, only a couple of key issues. Weirdly enough I feel like the app is changing my beats to a certain extent, like it'll add its own spin on it? Kinda odd, definently not a 1:1 replica of what I'm tapping in though. As well as the fact I can't seem to find out how to mix sounds! (for example adding bass from the Roundbass Sound Pack to a song made with synths doesn't work, it makes the whole song bass) Other than that an undo and redo button would be nice! Fantastic app 💯

I absolutely love this. The tones ypu can generate and sequencer is fiddly but intuitive in the same breath. I hope I'm doing something wrong in terms of the stuttering I'm getting. I've a pretty well powered device but no matter what I do I run into the same clicks and pops. However, I'm fairly sure this is down to something I'm doing. Awesome app, thanks team.

What’s new

This release introduces expanded Filter LFO controls. To access the new LFO options, simply tap the LFO section title.

- Added controls to set the LFO phase
- Added controls to set the LFO base frequency
- New LFO mode selector: Free mode runs the LFO as a continuous, repeating cycle while Trigger mode restarts the LFO with each new note or trigger event
- Added two new patches: 303 and Kalliope
