About this app

This app will allow you to update the firmware on most Axxess Interfaces*. Just connect an On The Go (OTG) cable (part number AX-OTG1AN) and the update cable associated with the interface (Micro " B" or 4-pin boot loader cables).

Customize your Axxess steering wheel control interface (ASWC-1) with this app. Map the steering wheel control buttons any way you'd like.

The Axxess Updater App allows installers to update Axxess interfaces* from their smartphone or tablet to download the latest vehicle application data. As new models or technology are released throughout the year, updates are recommended prior to installation to ensure that the latest software is being used.

What's new for version 2.0? The Axxess Updater App has a redesigned interface for a modern look and feel, with improved support for devices and more. For installers, an intuitive flow with clear instructions improves the help and support feature of the app. An improved design helps users easily find vehicle-specific products and also access instructions and user manuals for Axxess products.

Steering wheel buttons worked great until the last month or so. Buttons still not working even after resetting the device. Not working for vol, seek & rest of the wheel buttons. Tried updating the device firmware & still nothing working on the wheel for stereo. Installed stock stereo & buttons work very well too but not with this device. Very disappointed in this device. Then the app doesn't have some of the features in screenshots listed for any programming.

Had issues with the module (kept losing steering wheel function) that required multiple resets. AWSC-1 is what the axxess website says I need for my car but, when I put the module on my PC, with this software, "Chevrolet" isn't in the vehicle list, just "Dodge", "Jeep" & "Ford". Regardless, I updated the firmware and finally got my module working again after a couple of hours, constantly repeating steps. How do you recommend a module for a vehicle then leave that vehicle out of the list?

App seems to work, but with my pioneer stereo and an 07 4runner I can't program the mode button. It doesn't work as mode or other options, if I program it to pause/play it just turns off the stereo. Both manually programming it and using the app have this issue. The firmware is up to date.
